Changing Unhealthy Eating Lifestyles


Our appetite is one of the strongest temptation that man has to meet. If we can control our appetites, we can overcome anything. Many of us are sick from the wrong kinds of foods, that we are putting in our bodies. Many of us let our appetites control us, when it should be the other way around. We must deny our appetites from the wrong kind of foods we eat, and crave and allow to enslave us.

There is a way that we can cook healthy foods, that is delicious and enjoyable. We can cook simple fruits, vegetables and grains and learn how to prepare them, in many different ways. These foods provide all the nutrition we need. Along with daily exercise and a healthy meal plan, we'll be on our way to a healthy lifestyle.

Many of us grew up with parents that prepared, four or more kinds of foods each meal, and it has become a tradition for us. We can reverse our mind away from that tradition. When a variety of foods that do not agree are crowded into the stomach at one meal, it will

create a disturbance in the stomach. We should get in the habit of preparing two or three kinds of foods each meal.

After we have eaten one meal, we should wait at least five hours, before eating anything else, to allow the stomach to rest from the labor, of digesting the previous meal. Our last meal should be three or more hours before bedtime. If we change these habits we can improve our health.
